Investigation of water surface film downstream from Muskrat Falls Site

September 10, 2021 Update

During a helicopter survey this morning, areas with a surface water film were observed downstream of the Muskrat Falls site. We are investigating.

We have mobilized our emergency response teams. Members of the Lower Churchill Project St. John’s EOC team are monitoring the situation in conjunction with the MF team at site. We are taking all actions to investigate and identify the surface film and take all necessary steps if required.

The safety of our employees, contractors and the public continues to be our number one priority. We will provide an update if there is a change in the situation.
