Feb. 15, 2021: Summary of COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols for MF site

The safety of our workers, their families, our communities, and the public is of utmost importance to Nalcor and we are taking all responsible measures possible to protect people‚Äôs health and safety. Working closely with infectious disease experts and NL Public Health, we have stringent protocols in place and we’ve taken every safety precaution since last March and will continue to do so.

The Muskrat Falls site is a unique situation in that it’s a camp where people are working together for longer periods of time (two or more weeks at a time), with workers coming from communities across our province.

Responding to the fast changing COVID-19 situation, as well as the concerns and feedback from our stakeholders, we are doing everything we can to minimize the potential for COVID-19 entering our work site and the communities where our workers live. We need to ensure the health & safety of workers at our work sites and also ensure we’re keeping people safe when they leave our work sites for home.

We continue to update our COVID-19 protocols to ensure our safety measures meet or exceed Public Health guidance. We’ve prepared the following summary of some of the protocols we currently have in place at the Muskrat Falls site (effective Feb. 15/01). Click HERE to view our most recent info.
